OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE:

Maryland is one of only a handful of states that restrict beer and wine sales to liquor stores.

It’s time to demand modern liquor laws that allow grocers, wholesale clubs, pharmacies and convenience stores to sell beer and wine.

What can I do to help?

The quickest way to enact change is to contact your local legislator.

We have prepared an email message for you or you can write your own- all you need to do is fill out your information and hit send! If you’d like to take an extra step, give your legislator a call using the prompt we provided.

Consumer Opinion

“Pennsylvania, and Virginia have laws that allow alcohol sales at grocery stores, gas stations, convenience stores, and others. Why should we not follow suit and make alcohol sales more convenient to everyone? It just make sense to have these products at the stores you already are at.”

CRAIG GRUNEWALD
Silver Spring, MD

“In all 5 states I've lived in prior to moving to Maryland it was legal to purchase beer and wine, and sometimes hard alcohol, at grocery stores. The fact that I can't buy everything I need to cook a common dish like chicken marsala or vodka sauce at a grocery store is ridiculous.”

ADAM HOFFMAN
Bel Air, MD

“I hate having to make two stops to buy alcohol, or pay a separate delivery fee for Drizly. I want to get alcohol when I pick up or order my groceries.”

LAUREN CANTLIN
Baltimore, MD

“It’s just makes sense. The current system is not set up to help consumers. That needs to change.”

JEANNINE FAY
Baltimore, MD

“I'm signing this because this is better for consumers and retailers who currently are left out. This is an antiquate law and VA is way ahead of us on this!”

JOYCE BOSC
Silver Spring, MD

“I'm signing this because I don't need the state to tell me where I can buy something and I want to support the local craft beer breweries.”

RICHARD GUENTHER
Kensington, MD
